Lake Mary won 9-1 against Winter Garden via run-rule on Saturday afternoon. The victory was the Boom’s fourth in as many games, improving to 4-1 on the season.
Reid Lisle got the ball and threw a complete game. In his first start of the year, the sophomore went 5 innings, only allowing one run on two hits, while striking out 5. He helped himself out as well, launching a 2-run Home run in the second inning.
Hunter Hollman was potent offensively for the Boom as well, going 2-2 with a double, and 3 RBIs.
Winter Garden’s Ethan Hawkins will need some ice after this one, as he was hit by pitch twice - tied for the most in a single game this season.
Lake Mary looks to make it 5 straight on Monday at Leesburg. Winter Garden will travel to Sperling Park to face DeLand.
