LEESBURG, Fla. - The DeLand Angels (5-11-2) scored four in the first but a late rally by the Leesburg Thunder (12-5-1) led to a 4-4 tie at Pat Thomas Stadium on Saturday night.

DeLand nearly batted around in their first at-bats as they sent eight to the plate, recording five hits. Benjamin Rowdon and Chris Clayton picked up RBI hits as the Angels jumped out to an early 4-0 lead.

A scoreless second and third made way for a Leesburg comeback late in the game.

They got a run back in the fourth as Cody Cannon doubled, scoring Jesus Rivera for their first run of the game. In the fifth, Angels starter Andrew Catone allowed four hits as the Thunder scored three to tie the game.

A Wesley Moulden RBI single got things started, scoring Ryan Horseman to make it 4-2. Bryson Tuttle followed with a double to center field, bringing in Moulden to cut the lead to 4-3. Two batters later, Rivera added to the party, singling to bring in Tuttle to tie the game.

Adam Rosenberg and Rowdon picked up two hits apiece for DeLand. Rivera led the way for Leesburg with two hits and an RBI.
