Division II Sanford Monarchs defeat the Leesburg Thunder 12-2 on Monday thanks to a timely seven runs in a big fourth inning. Parker Laffrey, Kain Smith, Zachary Boykin, Nathan Nogueras, and Charlie Pellicer all had hits and RBI's in the fourth inning.
Andrew Bubon earned the win on the mound for the Monarchs, going three innings allowing zero runs on zero hits. The Monarchs totaled eight hits, with Sherman and Laffrey both having two hits in the win, with Laffrey and Pellicer both having 2 RBIs.
For the Thunder, Zackary Wilson started the game pitching three scoreless innings while allowing zero hits, striking out two and walking one.
