Warthogs Lose Lead Early In Defeat

The Winter Garden Warthogs watched the game slip away early and could not recover, losing to the Winter Park Bulldogs 13-3. The Bulldogs got started early, scoring five runs in the first inning and then six runs in the second inning.

Bryce Fitzgerald from the Bulldogs went 2 for 3 with a home run, including four RBI's and 2 runs to help the Bulldogs jump to an early lead. Yan Rivera also helped keep the Bulldogs rolling, going 2 for 2 with an RBI and two runs.

The Warthogs were led by Jay Aponte, getting two hits in two at bats. Starting pitcher for the Warthogs Josh Carr went one and a third, allowing five hits and ten runs while striking out one. Victor Wilburn and Jason Rivera Jr. entered the game from the bullpen quieting the bats for the Bulldogs. The game ends 13-3 in five innings of play.
