5 Pitchers Team Up As The Monarchs Defeat Thunder In Shutout

The Sanford Monarchs defeated Leesburg Thunder 8-0 on Saturday as five pitchers combined to throw a shutout, allowing zero runs on four hits with only one walk. Andrew Bubon led the way as the starter, going three innings with zero runs and striking out two.

The Monarchs opened up the scoring in the first inning, scoring two runs. In the seventh inning the Monarchs put up three runs, with Ryan Ramirez and Charlie Pellicer each having RBI's in the big inning. The monarchs tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases, leading them was Johnnie Lopez with four bags.

For the Thunder Manny Sanatana, Blake Graham, Dylan Bigard, and Kylen Davis each recorded a hit, but was not enough for the Thunder. Craigee Breach took the loss for the thunder, surrendering three runs on four hits over three innings, striking out three.
